Gilani was known for his principled stance on Kashmir

Islamabad, September 05 : Veteran Kashmiri leader, Syed Ali Gilani was known for his principled stance on the Kashmir dispute and stood for the Kashmiris’ inalienable right to self-determination till his last breath.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said that powerful voice of Kashmir freedom movement and face of resistance, Syed Ali Gilani embraced martyrdom in years’ long detention of India in Srinagar on Wednesday.

It said, Syed Ali Gilani stood like a rock in face of the worst Indian oppression and will always be remembered as a resolute fighter for Kashmiris rights through his peaceful and upright struggle.

The report said, Syed Ali Gilani dedicated his whole life to the just cause of Kashmiris and he was a symbol of Kashmiris’ resistance against Indian illegal occupation. The veteran resistance leader staunchly advocated the merger of Kashmir with Pakistan and he will continue to remain inspirational figure for the struggling Kashmiris, it maintained.
