Mujahideen Trying To cross Into J&K One Mujahid Martyred
Jammu: An unidentified mujahid on Tuesday was martyred while trying to sneak into Jammu and Kashmir through Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district, officials said Tuesday.
According to official sources, the Indian occupational forces noticed the movement of a group of five mujahideen on the other side of the fence in Samhani Bagsar area in Naushera sector of the district. The movement of mujahideen, they said was well intercepted before they could have managed to reach LoC and were engaged.
Amid engagement of mujahideen, Indian official sources said an explosion took place in the area after one of the mujahideen stepped over a land mine or an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and was martyred on the spot
“The body of the martyred mujahideen was taken along by his four associates who returned back to the launch pad,” the sources said.
They said that the group of mujahideen was possibly a fidayeen squad and were heavily armed.
“Since the incident, searches are going on in the area for to ensure proper area dominance,” the sources said
Meanwhile, India and Pakistan troops exchanged heavy gunfire in the neighboring Poonch district, officials said.
