Searches were going on in the area when last reports came in.
Meanwhile, the troops also launched cordon and search operations in several villages of Mendhar, Poonch district. The Indian Army claimed that the operations were conducted following the movement of a suspected “surveillance drone” over villages in Mendhar.
On the other hand, Indian troops arrested two persons including a prominent Hurriyet activist Naseer Ahmad Rather during a search operation in Chatpura village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The operation was launched late last evening.
