MUZAFFARABAD,: The Spokesperson of the United Jihad Council (UJC) Syed Sadaqat Hussain has said that declaring Hizbul Mujahideen Chief and United Jihad Council Chairman Syed Salahuddin Ahmed as terrorist by Indian Interior Ministry on the name of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) is in fact a cheap tactic to term the legal and constitutional struggle as terrorism, which has been declared legitimate by United Nations Organization (UNO) and other international institutions.
UJC Spokesperson Syed Sadaqat Hussain in a statement issued on Wednesday said that the formal UN’s resolutions are present regarding the state in which the people of the state have been given the right to decide about their own fate. He said that the Indian rulers of that time also acknowledged these resolutions but along with this they continued to strengthen their illegal occupation while using various tactics. He said that the Kashmiris have rejected this illegal occupation from the day one and continued their struggle against this illegal occupation.
He said that Syed Salahuddin is the sign of this legal and constitutional struggle and resistance, adding that those who struggle for securing freedom are not terrorists. He said that the history has witnessed that those who were declared terrorists by the tyrants and occupants of the time were declared heroes by the world later on.
Syed Sadaqat Hussain said that in Indian freedom movement Subhash Chandar Bos, Bhagat Singh and thousands of such leaders were declared terrorists by English rulers but in India today the pictures of these terrorists have been placed in Indian Parliament in form of heroes. He said that Syed Salahuddin and other freedom loving leaders are the leaders of the national movement like this. He said that it would have been better for the Indian leadership to read the writing on the wall and realize the facts and reality so that the peace could come in this region but the extremism of the Indian rulers and mistakes on mistakes are giving birth to such situation in which the peace of the whole region will be disturbed but the peace of the world could also be put in danger.
