MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 16 : Hizbul Mujahideen Chief and United Jihad Council Chairman Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has said that martyred Ghulam Rasool Dar had trained thousands of Kashmiri mujahideen militarily and ideologically. He said that martyred Ghulam Rasool Dar and his aides while following the path of bravery and while telling the method of resistance against the enemy gave priority to forever life on temporary life.
While addressing the ceremony held on the 17th martyrdom anniversary of martyred Ghulam Rasool Dar, Syed Salahuddin Ahmed said that Ghulam Rasool Dar aka Ghazi Naseeruddin was martyred by Indian forces on 16th January 2004 along with two other commanders Abbas Rahi and Abid Hussain. He was performing the responsibilities of Hizb Operational Chief at that time.
Syed Salahuddin said that all these leaders had trained thousands of Kashmiris militarily and ideologically prior to their martyrdom, adding that this is the result of their training that instead of very short number the Kashmiri mujahideen are fighting for freedom and supremacy of Islam.
Syed Salahuddin during his address also expressed condolences over the death of daughter of poet of Islam, Mushtaq Kashmiri and wife of prominent Kashmiri legal expert Advocate Awais Ahmed. Syed Salahuddin said that she was pious and custodian of the freedom movement of Kashmir. He said that the father of deceased, Mushtaq Kashmiri is an icon of sacrifices, adding that he faced atrocities in whole life and his son Ahmed was martyred by enemies of Islam and his daughter was injured. Syed Salahuddin prayed higher status in heaven for the departed soul and courage for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Fateha was also offered at the end of the ceremony for higher status in heaven for Ghulam Rasool Dar, Commander Abbas Rahi and Commander Abid Hussain and other martyrs.
