Thousands Of People Attend Funeral Prayers Of Shaheed Adil Hamid Chopan

Anantnag: Amid A Complete Shutdown And Restrictions On Civilian Movement, Thousands Of People On Tuesday Attended The Funeral Prayers Of Shaheed Hizbul Mujahideen Mujahid Adil Hamid Chopan In His Native Village In Tral Area Of South Kashmir.
A Gun Salute Was Also Offered By Mujahideen Who Appeared At The Funeral Procession.
Adil Was Killed During A Brief Gunfight, While Two Other Mujaahid Escaped, In Seer Area Of Tral Town On Monday.
Chopan Was Martyred Near His Native Village Of Laraw Jageer In Tral And His Body Was Handed Over To His Family At About 9 PM, Soon After The Brutal Troops Concluded Their Operation.
People Started Assembling At Chopan’s House And Braved The Chill To Stay Outside The House Throughout The Night.
“In The Wee Hours, Thousands More Started To Pour In As Preparations Were Made For The Funeral At The Lawns Of The Local Jama Masjid,” Local Sources Told Kashmir Reader.
The Body Was Draped In The Pakistan Flag And More Such Flags Were Hoisted Around The Venue.
“Due To Huge Rush Of People, Three Rounds Of Funeral Prayers Were Held For The Shaheed Mujahid, While People Raised Pro-freedom, Pro-Pakistan And Anti-India Slogans,” Sources Said.
People Present At The Funeral Told That At Least Four Armed Mujahid Appeared At The Funeral And One Of Them Fired Several Rounds In The Air. A Complete Shutdown Was Observed Across Tral Town While Restrictions Had Been Imposed On Roads Leading To Tral.
Internet Services Which Were Suspended Soon After The Gunfight Had Begun Remained Suspended In The Area For The Second Consecutive Day Today.
