Continuing occupation of nation through force is not a democracy but it is fascism: Syed Ali Geelani

SRINAGAR, Jan 22 : Former Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference (G) and Senior Hurriyat Leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani has appealed the Kashmiris to observe Indian republic day as black day on 26th January and observe complete strike in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Syed Ali Geelani said that India is a fascist state under the garb of so called democracy. He said that continuing occupation of nation through force is not a democracy but it is fascism.

A statement has been issued by Syed Abdullah Gillani, the Special Representative of Syed Ali Shah Geelani in Islamabad, quoting Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Friday.

Syed Ali Geelani said that Indian tries to tell the world while observing Indian Republic Day on 26th January every year that it is serious country which follows the constitutional rights and believes in supremacy of the constitution. He said that the reality is totally against it. He said that India mercilessly and shamelessly is continuing not only breaching constitutional but also basic rights of its own citizens, adding that while seeing this process Indian should observe “Yaum-e-Aar” instead of observing republic day.

Syed Ali Geelani said that to realize the reality to Indian rulers, masses and world community, we Kashmiris observe black day on 26th January every year. Syed Ali Geelani said that while following this tradition, which is the voice of our collective conscience and historic sign of protest, we will express our sentiments while observing complete strike and civil curfew on 26th January in occupied Jammu and Kashmir; meanwhile in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and in Pakistan the people through organizing protest demonstrations and public gatherings will express their vigor for freedom and solidarity with the freedom struggle going on in Kashmir.

Syed Ali Geelani also expressed hope that the Kashmiris living in other countries will also gather in more and more numbers in front of Indian diplomacies and will record their protest and will inform the local people about the history of Kashmir and movement and will also try to secure support from local people. He said that the people should remember that nations have to show patience sometimes in freedom struggle, adding that whatever are the circumstances we will not become disappointed. He said that the disappointment is not the quality of the people who belief in Almighty Allah. Syed Ali Geelani said that we should have to keep hope alive in worst situation also and should keep in mind that how much the night is long it will certainly end and it will have to see light.
