7 More Tested Positive in Kashmir, toll reaches 27 across J&K

Srinagar, Mar 28 : Government of Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday confirmed more 7 cases of COVID-19 in Kashmir Valley. The total number of cases has reached to 21 in Kashmir Valley and 27 in entire J&K.
According to sources in a major outbreak of COVID-19 cases in Kashmir, 7 more cases have been reported positive in Kashmir.
Official spokesperson of Government Rohit Kansal tweeted, “Tough to be harbinger of unpleasant news. But being informed is being prepared. 7 more positive cases in Srinagar today. 4 cases – history of contact with already positive cases of religious congregation; other three – travel history outside J&K contacts being traced”.
As per sources the seven persons include a 56 year old man from Jawahar-Nagar Srinagar who has travel history to Indonesia and other four persons, aged between 28 to 35 years, from north Kashmir’s Hajin area who had come in contact with the 65-year old man who did recently due to said disease at CD Hospital Srinagar. Sources further said the among seven affected persons, there is a 45-year old man and his wife (40) from Ahmad Nagar Srinagar who had returned from Mumbai recently.
Sources also said that all positive COVID-19 patients have been put under medical protocol at Chest Disease (CD) hospital Dalgate Srinagar.
With these fresh seven cases, the number of COVID-19 patients has gone to 27 in Jammu and Kashmir.
